Goals

THIS IS STUFF FROM LAST YEAR—- 2011—- SCROLL DOWN FOR THE NEW YEAR—- 2012

O.K.- I have a new tab here—- GOALS!

In this case, I will set up my goals for the year. And THIS year– 2011– run 1000 miles! That is an average of 19.25 per week. Here is a listing of each day and distance:

January 3rd- 2.0 miles

January 6th- 2.0 miles

January 8th- 13.1 miles

January 14th- 2.0 miles

January 17th- 2.0 miles

January 18th- 3.25 miles

January 20th- 2.0 miles

January 24th- 3.0 miles

January 25th- 3.0 miles

January 26th- 2.0 miles

January 27th- 2.0 miles

January 28th- 3.0 miles

January 31st- 2.0 miles

TOTAL FOR JANUARY-    41.25 miles

I need to step it up some- but I have excuses. Ran that half on the 8th and I took several days off after that to recover. And I also had a light training week leading up to that- so I think that February will be better. BUT, it is a short month so I have to get on it Tuesday.

February 1st- 2.0 miles

After a slow start in February (we moved the weekend of the 29th and 30th of Jan)- I have started to ramp it up. The weather has been much nicer and I anticipate many more miles toward my goal in the next week. Total for the month so far- 18.0

Well, I guess that does it. I fell a little short. However, I did enjoy trying. I think that a couple of things were working against me. 1. I am a wuss- I have a hard time getting going in the cold and hot weather. 2. I had a couple of injuries along the way this year. 3. I don’t think that I really though out how hard it would be to do this. It is 20 miles a week, or something like that- that is tough from a time-suck perspective.

However, Here we go… 2012!!!! 1000 miles!!!!! I want to see if I can get a little closer this year.
