Will this make a good TV show??

Now that I have started vlogging… doing a video blog, it has started to come up. That is… now I sit around and think about what would be good.

In the Clarion-Ledger the other day, I read about a girl from Mississippi that apparently will make a good story. It seems that Dr. Oz is going to have her on the show.

In 1994 Cathea Simelton was Ms. Tippah county (are you familiar with the caviar from there???- if not, visit Newk’s)- she is living in D.C. now and appareently has put on a few pounds.

What I thought was interesting about this article though, was not that she was once a beauty queen and has now become overweight… I mean, heck, that could happen to anybody. What is interesting is that she has a degree in biology and a masters in food and nutritional science. Well… you would think she would know better.

But that just goes to show you, this really can happen to anybody… even beauty contestants and nutritionists… its because this is such a complex problem… being overweight. Its not as easy as eat less and exercise more. There are a hundred things that go into it… and it is so hard to change.

I hope that I can help others make some changes and I don’t want to lead anyone to believe that I don’t struggle with changes as well.

Oh, and don’t forget to try the caviar!!!

I think it is a great story. The girl from Mississippi (Cathea) especially. It had to take a lot of courage for her to step up and say….. hey look I know the rules of weight loss and I need help too. Kudos to all of the women. But especially Cathea. I think more people will identify with her complete honesty. It is definitely rare to have someone that educated lay it all on the line. I wish her the best. I am routing for her!

If Cathea is already a model why is she in the competition? I read she is a plus-size model in New York already? Is she shooting for the regular stick figure collar bone showing model look? Don’t think that will happen. She should leave well enough alone! Pretty girl… I am just saying.

(essentially a tangy black eyed pea cold salad)

I would watch the show. People are in love with these type of shows. Biggest Loser, Celebrity Fit Club. Anything real and not scripted. And surely something everyone can relate to. I would watch.

I thought I saw her on an update show recently. Or at least I thought that was her. How can we get information on her or follow her. I want to know her progress.
